Jude: Revised Murdock Translation
1 Yudah, a servant of
Yeshua Mshikha, and the brother of Ya’aqub, to the called
people, the beloved of Abba Alaha, those protected by Yeshua
Mshikha:
2 Mercy and peace in
love be multiplied to you.
3 My beloved, while I
take all pains to write to you of our common life, it is needful
for me to write to you, exhorting you to contend for the faith
which was once delivered to the saints.
4 For some have
obtained entrance, who from the beginning were registered
beforehand under this condemnation: wicked men, who pervert the
grace of Alaha to impurity, and deny him who is the only Lord
Alaha and Maran Yeshua Mshikha.
5 And I wish to
remind you, though you all are aware of it, that Alaha, after once
rescuing the people from Egypt, again destroyed those who did not
believe.
6 And the angels that
did not keep their place, but left their station, he has reserved
in chains unknown, under darkness, for the judgment of the great
day.
7 As Sodom and
Gomorrah, and the surrounding cities, which in a similar manner
were unfaithful and followed after their own desires, are placed
beneath everlasting fire, being, doomed to judgment.
8 In the same manner,
these people, with their dreams they defile the body and despise
authority having no respect.
9 But the archangel
Mikhael, who, in debate with the Accuser, contended about the body
of Mosha, did not venture to bring against him a reviling
declaration; but said, "Mar-Yah will rebuke you."
10 But these people
speak against ((slander)) things in which they do not understand
and they have the mind of an animal; and because of this they are
destroyed.
11 Woe to such men;
for they follow after the way of Cain; and, after the error of
Balaam, they have lusted for gain; and, in the rebellion of
Korach, they have perished.
12 These are they
who, in their feastings, riot while polluting themselves, feeding
themselves without fear; [they are] like clouds without rain,
moved about by the winds; like trees whose fruit has failed, and
they have no fruit, twice dead, and uplifted from their root;
13 like raging waves
of the sea, which, by their foam, manifest their confusion;
wandering stars, for which is reserved the blackness of darkness
for ever.
14 And Enokh, who was
the seventh from Adam, prophesied concerning them when he said:
“Behold, Mar-Yah comes, with myriads of his saints;
15 to execute
judgment upon all; and to convict all the wicked, because of all
the evil deeds they have committed; and because of all the harsh
speech, which they, ungodly sinners, have uttered.”*
16 These are they who
murmur and complain of every thing, while they walk according to
their own desires; and their mouth speak of shocking things; and
they flatter people, for the sake of gain.
17 But, my beloved,
remember the words which were once spoken by the Apostles of Maran
Yeshua Mshikha;
18 because they told
you, that in the end times there would be scoffers following after
the ways of wickedness, and according to their own desires.*
19 These are the very
ones that cause a schism, people of the world, not having the
Spirit.
20 But you, my
beloved, should be newly built up in your holy faith, through Holy
Spirit while you pray.
21 And let us keep
ourselves in the love of Alaha, while we wait for the mercy of
Maran Yeshua Mshikha unto our eternal life.
22 Some of them you
should snatch from the fire.
23 And when they
repent, have compassion on them, with fear, despsing even the
tunic that is defiled by the flesh.
24 And to him who is
able to protect you without fault, and spotless and to establish
you without a blemish,
25 before his
majesty, with joy, the only Alaha, our Deliverer, by means of
Maran Yeshua Mshikha, be praise and dominion, and honour and
majesty, both now and in all ages. Amen.
