Philemon: Revised Murdock Translation

¹ Pawlos (Paul), a prisoner of Yeshua Mshikha(the Messiah), and Timotheos (Timothy) a brother; to the beloved Filimon (Philemon), a labourer with us, ² and to our beloved Apya (Apphia), and to Arkippos (Archippus) a laborer with us, and to the church in your house. ³ Grace be with you, and peace from Alaha (God) our father, and from Maran Yeshua Mshikha. ⁴ I thank my Alaha always, and remember you in my prayers, ⁵ for, from the time that I heard of your faith, and of the love you have towards Maran Yeshua, and towards all the saints; ⁶ that there may be a fellowship of your faith, yielding fruits in works, and in the knowledge of all the good things you possess in Yeshua Mshikha.

⁷ For we have great joy and consolation, because the bowels of the saints are refreshed by your love. ⁸ Therefore I might have great freedom in Mshikha, to enjoin upon you the things that are right. ⁹ But for love's sake, I earnestly beseech you even I, Pawlos, who am aged, as you know, and now also a prisoner for Yeshua Mshikha. ¹⁰ I beseech you for my son, whom I had begotten in my bonds for Anesimos (Onesimus); ¹¹ from whom formerly you had no profit, but now very profitable will he be both to you and to me; and whom I have sent to you. ¹² And receive you him, as one begotten by me. ¹³ For I was desirous to retain him with me, that he might minister to me in your place, in these bonds for the Gospel.

¹⁴ But I would do nothing without consulting you; lest your benefit should be as if by compulsion, and not with your pleasure. ¹⁵ And, perhaps, also, he therefore departed from you for a time, that you might retain him for ever; ¹⁶ henceforth, not as a servant, but more than a servant, a brother dear to me, and much more to you, both in the flesh and in Maran. ¹⁷ If therefore you are in fellowship with me, receive him as one of my own. ¹⁸ And if he has wronged you, or owes you anything, place it to my account. ¹⁹ I, Pawlos, have written this with my own hand, I will repay: not to say to you, that to me you owe your own self. ²⁰ Yes, my brother, let me be refreshed by you in Maran: you refresh my bowels in Mshikha.

²¹ Being confident that you will listen to me, I have written to you; and I know that you will do more than I say. ²² And thus, prepare also a house for me to lodge in; for I hope that, by your prayers, I shall be given to you.

²³ Appafra (Epaphras), a fellow-captive with me in Yeshua Mshikha, sends greetings to you; ²⁴ and Markus (Mark), and Arestarkhos (Aristarchus), and Dema (Demas), and Lukas (Luke), my coadjutors.

²⁵ The grace of Maran Yeshua Mshikha be with your spirit, my brethren.
